We met the $10,000 goal, which becomes $20,000 for Cozy Cat's medical expenses.
In fact, we exceeded $10,000 and are keeping the fundraiser going through August 31st when we'll also have our raffle drawings.
Although donations received now through the end of the month will not be matched, donations for medical expenses are always critical as we work to help more homeless cats and kittens in our community.

This August, a generous supporter will match every dollar you give, up to $10,000! As medical expenses rise, we want to be able to say yes to the homeless cats and kittens who need help. The stakes are high, and every decision we make has significant, real-world consequences. Together, we can make a difference—your contribution matters!
Just a few of our medical costs include: $5 - rabies vaccine, $35 - neuter surgery (male), $65 - Spay surgery (female), $21.45 for SNAP test for FIV, FeLv, Heartworm, $15.84 x 4 for RCP vaccine which protects against distemper and respiratory diseases, and $17.54 for Feline Leukemia x 2. None of these expenses include emergencies, dental care, and medications.

Why Support Cozy Cat Cottage?
CCC often serves as a final refuge for adult cats and litters of kittens that have been abandoned or may otherwise face euthanasia at other shelters. As a no-kill rescue and adoption center since 1998, CCC has successfully found homes for over 15,500 cats and kittens in our community. Additionally, we have provided low-cost spay and neuter services for thousands of animals, including feral community cats. Every cat admitted to our center is guaranteed a lifelong home until it is adopted. Furthermore, if an adopter can no longer care for their cat, CCC will gladly welcome the cat back. Our commitment is lifelong and reflects our dedication to advocating for these often-overlooked animals.

It's a tough world. Imagine you're a homeless cat.
We are incredibly grateful for your ongoing support and understand that we often ask for help. The reason we do is simply that the need to help increases, and you are our lifeline, and therefore the cats' lifeline. The demands of animal rescue are immense, and being on the front lines highlights every day how crucial it is to protect and care for the most vulnerable, often overlooked, cats and kittens in our community. Homelessness among cats is a widespread issue, and we are fully aware of it. However, together, we are making a significant difference, and we do have the power to improve their lives. We hope you will consider continuing your support during our August Match Drive.
Here's an update on why we are reaching out for your help...
This summer, we are facing an overwhelming surge in kitten births, a challenge we encounter nearly year-round here in Ohio. These vulnerable kittens urgently need our assistance, and it is heartbreaking to see homeless mother cats struggling to survive with their litters. Our sole mission is to rescue as many as we can in our community. Since our founding in 1998, we have rescued and adopted over 15,500 cats and kittens. In 2025 alone, Cozy Cat Cottage adopted out 765 cats and facilitated 951 spay-and-neuter procedures through our community trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs. We are on track to exceed those numbers in 2026, and this is only possible because of the generosity of our supporters who share our mission.
Currently, we have over 175 cats and kittens at our adoption center and in foster homes, but our ability to continue these efforts is directly tied to the donations we receive. Cozy Cat Cottage relies entirely on donor support and does not receive any government funding. We work diligently to stretch every dollar to ensure the highest standards of care for our rescued cats and kittens. However, rising medical and pharmaceutical costs present ongoing challenges. If our funding does not keep pace with these expenses, we may have to turn away cats in desperate need, which we hope to avoid at all costs.
Cozy Cat is a no-frills, grassroots non-profit, and we humbly ask you to consider donating to our community-based organization this August.
